Update to the 2019 calendar

Diary update

There has been a change to the 2019 Calendar.

The Clachan cup is now on Saturday 6 July and the Gents Open is now on Sunday 14th July. This website is up-to-date and apologies for any inconvenience.

EGGS Christmas dinner

The EGGS had their Christmas dinner and awards presentation on the 30th with a record turnout of 55 players and partners.
A presentation was also made to Drew for his excellent work as club secretary.

Halloween Themed Golf Event

Another great day at Gifford – well done Anna Young and Shirley Currie – fab as usual – all the kids and adults loved it !! Well done to Ray Gillies and Kevin Robertson on winning the par 3 comp and to Harry and Patrick Edwardson on being runners-up.
Well done to Ru Clubb and Harry Edwardson on winning the Pumpkin Putting Comp and to Jez Huxtable on winning the adult comp.
Thanks to Jamie Martin and Colin Mowatt for setting up the course!

Annual Prize giving

I am pleased to confirm that the Club’s Annual Prize Giving will be held on Saturday 10th November commencing at 15.00.

Prior to the prize giving a fun 9 hole Texas Scramble competition will be held – shotgun start at 12.30.

There is a sheet on the notice board for members to enter the Texas Scramble.

Teams will be drawn at random from the list of entrants.

Special General Meeting

A Special General Meeting of the club has been called for Monday 1st October in Gifford village hall at 19:30 to discuss extensions to the clubhouse.

At the SGM, the proposals were approved by a large majority.

Dianne Martin Trophy

This 18 hole mixed Stableford foursomes took place on 8th Sept with seven 4 balls competing.
3 pairs came in with 34 pts but with a better back nine Gordon Paton and June Forson came out on top.
Well done to them and those who took part.
