The EGGS had their Christmas dinner and awards presentation on the 30th with a record turnout of 55 players and partners.
A presentation was also made to Drew for his excellent work as club secretary.
Another great day at Gifford – well done Anna Young and Shirley Currie – fab as usual – all the kids and adults loved it !! Well done to Ray Gillies and Kevin Robertson on winning the par 3 comp and to Harry and Patrick Edwardson on being runners-up.
Well done to Ru Clubb and Harry Edwardson on winning the Pumpkin Putting Comp and to Jez Huxtable on winning the adult comp.

Clubhouse Winter Catering Hours
From 28th October 2018 to 30th March 2019 the Clubhouse will be staffed between the hours of 8am and 4pm. (Unless extended opening has been agreed in advance)
Hot food will be available from 8.30am to 3.00pm.
Players requiring hot food are requested to order food prior to play, especially those who will be finishing their round around 3pm.
I am pleased to confirm that the Club’s Annual Prize Giving will be held on Saturday 10th November commencing at 15.00.
Prior to the prize giving a fun 9 hole Texas Scramble competition will be held – shotgun start at 12.30.
There is a sheet on the notice board for members to enter the Texas Scramble.
Teams will be drawn at random from the list of entrants.
A Special General Meeting of the club has been called for Monday 1st October in Gifford village hall at 19:30 to discuss extensions to the clubhouse.

This 18 hole mixed Stableford foursomes took place on 8th Sept with seven 4 balls competing.
3 pairs came in with 34 pts but with a better back nine Gordon Paton and June Forson came out on top.
Well done to them and those who took part.
The Ladies Senior Open Greensomes took place on Tuesday 4th September. It was well attended with 90 ladies coming from near and far for a very successful day.

Hannah Bullen beat Sally Lucas in the Ladies Bronze Championship for the Molly Glover Bowl on 1st September. A good match played in good spirit.
