Welcome to Gifford Golf Club Members’ Section

It is a great honour to be appointed Club Captain for 2024 and I would like to thank everyone for their well wishes.

I have been a member of Gifford Golf Club for around 13 years now and I have loved every minute of it.

I have been on the Committee for 5+ years, most recently supporting Shona as her Vice-Captain during her time as Captain. I have been the Winter League convenor for 4 years, representing our players at league meetings and liaising with opposition clubs. I have also been the Summer League convenor for some 5-6 years, helping to promote inter-club matches.

I intend to continue with the drive to make Gifford one of the most welcoming clubs in the area, where there is always a place for players of all standards and feel strongly that age, gender or physical ability should not be a barrier to golf.

I look forward to working with the Members, Staff and Committee in promoting Gifford Golf Club as a true “Hidden Gem”.

Member Information

Membership Fees

Annual membership falls due on the 1st February each year and must be paid in full by the 15th February. Please contact the secretary (secretary@giffordgolfclub.com) for details of the monthly payment plan if that is your preferred payment method.

The 2024 Membership Fees are as follows:

Intermediate (18-25)	£150
Junior	£30
Social (non-playing)	£20

Membership fee includes playing insurance, Scottish Golf Union fees for all Adult Members and Lothian Golf Association Fee for Adult Gents Members.

The Full Member’s joining fee is £80.

Don’t forget to add £60 for your 200 Club membership if you’re not paying by standing order.

The Club maintains a Master Schedule of all winners since 1930. Our thanks go to the Club secretaries who compiled the original data and to Gordon MacColl and Margaret Wylie who transferred the data from 1930 to 2010 onto a spreadsheet; since 2011 this data has been collected by the Club’s website.
